I haven't seen this topic discussed yet, so I'll go ahead.

I know people often see others with similar names, my ranger is Kendrick Blackwood and I met a Kendrick Whiteash as well as the npc Kendrick Redbow.But thats to be expected between characters with simple names/name schemes. But when factions came out there was an NPC(of whom someday i hope to get a family photo of with) who shares my monks stranger last name, Ander. So Captain Ander is standing at the kaineng docks now. Has anyone else run into an npc with a strange/obscure name that they thought of first(referring to factions really)

Not so much surprised as curious that the name is so similar. I also spent some time coming up with my own name, so if you think my name is cheesy, you obviously didn't notice the word play.

Only if you count that, my real name and all my character names start with jamie. And they have the healer hench named jamei.

Closest I've seen to my in game name is Guardsman Chow.

I havn't seen any NPCs named Canadian Baconator, Silencer Of Lambs, Captain Mysterio, Ping Pong The Monk, A Harmless Stick, or Dummest Blonde so I guess I'm in the clear. Anet didn't steal any of my names, w00t!

Well my 2 main characters (all have beaten factions) are "Alien Poo" and "Poop on Aliens". Good luck finding those npc names!

Well, I'm sure that I have yet to see an NPC named Benman Ha Ha, but I don't own Factions yet, so you never know.

I remeber a while ago, someone else had the same problem as this, but I think the NPC was a crafter somewhere, and the names were identical.

I doubt I will ever find an NPC named Curse You, or Offering Of Health (monk).

There William Pennington like William Penn and theres something Cromwell like that one Crmwell thats famous. I think its funny how they are somewhat the same. I just hope that the villain in the next game's name is Mumbassa Shirock or something...

Hitomi Kyoko - Hmmm, seen loads of other players with the first name Hitomi, I foind my name 'Hitomi Kyoko' off Google after searching for 'Oriental Names'

Crispy Strips - Urm, no, not unless there's an NPC KFC Vendor in the Harvest Temple...

Blood Chemist - Nope, although I expect there may well be another NPC 'Chemist' somewhere...either in these two games or future ones...

There's Kai Ying, but from what I see, Kai seems to be quite a popular name. (Kai means "anger" in Chinese I think)

I named my necro Cairn after that jade armor guy

I've seen tons of others with Gryphon in their names, but because a gryphon is a mythological creature. And it's also a different spelling of Desert Griffon.

Haven't seen anyone with my mesmer's name

What really drove me crazy was when I saw this elementalist(???) in grotto with Ard Ri in his name. I thought I was the first person to use that name
